Vinnland Socks

Working on these in the merino I dyed with Kool-Aid. I'm such a dolt. They were going to be snowflake socks, and then I was all "Ooo... that pattern has a lot of lines... bet I won't remember them all... might choose a different pattern." Sadly, my brain only remembered the "Choose different" part, and I picked a new pattern (Vinnland) that has three more lines to the pattern, and involves purl stitches (which slow me down like purly little speed-bumps in the smooth knittin' highway). It's a pretty pattern, but I'll be finishing them at the ankle beacuse:
(a) I mostly only wear ankle socks anyway;
(b) Pattern too slow.

They look great! I love the red colour and the speckled white bits - it gives them this cool "rustic" look (well, in my mind anyway).

Dyed with Kool-Aid, that's so cool. Love the colour. And nice choice of backdrop too!

Oh by the way, I've been meaning to reply to your comment re printing my fabric full with for aaages, and have finally got around to doing so! I've had a few people say that they'd like full width fabric, and I've been thinking about it for ages. I print half width because I print two designs at once, allowing me a greater range of designs and colourways, without breaking the bank. It's quite a tossup as to which option is better. Maybe when things get a bit more 'big time' cost wont be an issue and then I can go crazy ;)

Thanks for your input tho - much appreciated and definitely gets me thinking.
